Oh my gosh, you totally nailed it! I felt like I was having a hard time reconciling why I enjoyed The Selection series. I zipped through all of the books and couldn’t put them down but could not figure out why I enjoyed them at all. They don’t have brilliant writing (or at least writing that is on par with that of my favorite authors)and the love story is so ‘meh’ compared to the steamy stuff I normally enjoy. But seriously, these books, I just gobbled them up with no rhyme or reason! Glad I’m not the only one!
