Wrap-up: November 2016

December 2, 2016 Wrap-up 0

nov2016_booksCan you believe it’s already December? November seemed to fly by.

I only got through eight books this month, two of which were novellas. That’s less than usual for me, partly because I was in a bit of a reading slump, but also because I am now obsessed with watching Supernatural and got through three seasons during the month. Not sorry, but I may need an intervention sooner or later!

Early in November I volunteered at Supanova Brisbane, and although I didn’t get a lot of time away from standing by the signing queues, I did get to meet local authors Angela Slatter and Kim Wilkins. I bought loads of nerdy bits and pieces and met lots of new geeky people which is my favourite thing to do.

Have you seen Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them yet? I went along with our friend Jo from Miflix, and wrote a review for her site. Let me know what you thought of it!

If you’re still looking for Christmas presents to buy a YA Fantasy or Sci-fi reader in your life (or for yourself), Philippa and I might give you an idea or two on Ep 48 of our podcast. There’s also this week’s Top Ten Tuesday for reading inspiration over the summer holidays!

Coming in December

I have been so busy that I am now very behind with reviews – I’m hoping to catch up over the next few weeks!

As a parent of small children I feel like Christmas has been coming for 11 months already, but yes, it’s nearly here. Good luck with your preparations, and I hope there’s room for some reading in there somewhere!
