Wrap-up: March 2017

April 3, 2017 Uncategorized 4

The end of March has arrived, so it’s time to take a look back at the month.

You might have noticed a distinct lack of reviews around here this month. Well, the uni assignment season has started in earnest, and the time for writing book reviews that aren’t for assignment purposes is very limited.

I read five actual books, listened to Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley on audio, and read a whole lot of Supernatural fan fiction of varying quality. Honestly, I am trying to turn back to published books, but it’s just so easy to pick up the phone to read, you know?

In the 52nd episode of our podcast, Philippa and I reviewed Caraval by Stephanie Garber, and didn’t enjoy it as much as others did. Sorry everyone. Hopefully our next joint reading will be more exciting.

I got a chance to see the Beauty and the Beast remake, and it is every bit as magical as I hoped it would be! My review for the movie is on the pop culture site, Gigamov, and I’m pretty sure that as soon as Philly gets to see the movie, we’ll be recording a flailing episode about it.

Other than that, things are very quiet on the reading front. I think I actually bought more books than I read, this month. Oops! I hope you had a great March.
