Welcome to Tea in the Treetops, and Anni’s goals list for yet another Bout of Books Read-a-thon.
Here’s a bit of information about the read-a-thon:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 8th and runs through Sunday, May 14th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 19 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
Goals
Bout of Books read-a-thon is one of my favourites, and this one has arrived just as I start A Court of Wings and Ruin. Perfect timing, as I plan to do a lot of reading this week! Also, I’m totally including some fan fic this time around.
You can see all my updates as I progress further down on this post.
My list this week includes:
- A Court of Wings and Ruin, Sarah J Maas
- The Law of Equivalent Exchange, awed_frog (Supernatural fan fiction)
- Wires & Nerve, Marissa Meyer
- The Secret Science of Magic, Melissa Keil

Happy reading, everyone.
Updates
Day 1: Monday 8th
Books read: The Law of Equivalent Exchange (chp 2-8, about 52800 words = about 120 pages)
Pages read: 120
Page total: 120
Comments: Ever get that thing where you don’t want to start a highly anticipated book? Yeah, I’ve got that. So instead, I read this beautiful Destiel Supernatural fan fiction, spanning thousands of years from Ancient Greece, Rome, Europe and through the show to season 11. An epic love story between two soul mates. LOVE this. Will definitely start ACOWAR tomorrow.
Day 2: Tuesday 9th
Books read: A Court of Wings and Ruin, Sarah J Maas (p 0-32)
Pages read: 32
Page total: 152
Comments: Very little time to read today 🙁 I just want to sit down and read this book in one go, but I have so many things to do in my non-work time, it’s just not going to happen quickly!
Day 3-7: 10th – 14th
Books read: A Court of Wings and Ruin, Sarah J Maas (p 32-122)
Pages read: 90
Page total: 242
Comments: Wow. Well, the bottom really fell out of my week and I have barely been able to pick up a book. Bad week for a read-a-thon! I’m enjoying reading ACOWAR, even though I’m barely into it.
I hope your week went better than mine did!

How fun. I’m currently taking part in a ARC reading challenge. Good luck on reaching your goal!

Thanks! I think I need an ARC reading challenge as well! They tend to pile up, don’t they?
