It’s the first of November, and that means it’s time for Tea in the Treetops’ blogaversary!
Four years ago, a bunch of friends banded together to start this blog, and although many have gone on to other projects and fun things, I’m still here and keeping on writing, and Philippa’s still here willing to chat with me each month, so all’s well in our corner of the interwebs.
Thanks for all your support this year, readers and listeners! We love you!
So, in summary for October, I only read three books, but one of them was the second half of Godsgrave which was slow going for some reason. I have a big assignment due next week, so I’m hoping after that is done I’ll be able to catch up on reading. Ha, here I am writing a blog post instead of doing the actual assignment. Oh well.
On the 12th I went to the Take Three Girls event at Brisbane Square Library to listen to the three authors, Cath Crowley, Fiona Wood and Simmone Howell, talk about their writing process and inspirations. It sounds like a great #loveozya book, and a very enjoyable evening.
Philippa and I have got you covered for Christmas/birthday/other celebration gifts in episode 58 of the podcast. These include books for children, middle graders, contemporary and speculative YA, and for adults.
I hope you had a fantastic October!
